Exactly 3 months after the debut of the four-door sedan A-Class L Sedan, intended exclusively for the PRC market, Mercedes-Benz is presenting an international version of the model - the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan, which received the internal factory index V177.
It should be noted right away that the car is a soplatform "brother" of the compact A-class hatchback (index W177), and its main task is to take away a part of the market from the Audi A3 Sedan model, which is very popular in Europe.
It is noteworthy that even before the official debut on the world stage, scheduled for the fall of 2018, the novelty had already managed to thunder in the world media as the car with the most efficient aerodynamics among all production cars produced to date. So, the aerodynamic drag index is equal to some 0.22 Cd, which is only slightly less than that of the CLA and A-Class hatchback models (0.23 and 0.25 Cd, respectively).

The exterior design of the new A-Class sedan is made in the same corporate key with the latest models of the company, and its front part exactly repeats that of the A-class soplatform hatchback.
"Muzzle" of the car represented by a branded 6-corner radiator grille with a large three-pointed star in the center, a slanting head optics with LED filling, as well as a sculpted bumper with three sections of originally beaten air intakes.
Dynamic and fast-paced sedan profile It is distinguished by the presence of a long bonnet, elegant embossings on the sidewalls, circular wheel arches and a domed roof that smoothly merges into the lean stern.
By the way, the back of the car flaunts stylish parking lights, a compact luggage compartment lid and a monumental bumper with a pair of exhaust system trunks, a kind of sports diffuser and a pair of vertical air ducts.

- The second engine is represented by a 1.5-liter turbo diesel from Renault, which has a return of 116 hp. and a torque of 260 Nm. Such a power unit provides acceleration from 0 to 100 in 10.5 seconds. and allows you to develop a maximum of 202 km / h. Fuel consumption in the combined travel mode barely exceeds 4.4 liters for every 100 km of track.
In a pair of power plants, a 7-band "robot" with a double clutch is offered, transmitting all the torque to the front axle. It is also known that in the near future the line of power units should be expanded with at least two more motors, and as an option it should be possible to install the proprietary 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
The A-class sedan is based on the MFA modular platform, which is also used on the A-class soplatform hatchback. The front axle of the sedan is represented by an independent suspension with McPherson struts, and the rear is semi-independent with a torsion beam.
It is expected that the sedan, like the hatchback, will be able to install a sports chassis, characterized by the presence of lower ground clearance and the use of adaptive shock absorbers.
The standard "German" is equipped with an electric power steering, as well as disc brakes on both axles (front with a ventilation system).
