The Ford Motors company found two serious breakdowns in their cars, or as they are called, the defects of the engineers. Because of this, in America, Ford began to recall at least 451,865 sedans and about 13 commercial trucks. Fortunately, the manufacturer did not record any accidents or consequences due to these breakdowns.

So, according to statistics, about 451,865 sedans may have problems with the fuel tank. The 2010 and 2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan counterparts had a similar problem, but were corrected with a hole to clean the sump in the tank.

From some sources it became known that the cause of the breakdown of the fuel tank is excessive pressure, which returns excess fuel from the engine back to the fuel tank. Pressure will put more pressure on the top of the tank and cracks may appear on the top. Such a crack in the tank can lead to fuel leakage and the slightest short circuit, spark, or much worse, a thrown cigarette can lead to fuel ignition.

According to Ford, such vehicles were produced at the Hermosillo Assembly plant from July 21, 2008 to March 4, 2011. There are approximately 411,205 broken models in the States and Federal Territories, 33,605 in Canada and 7055 in Mexico City.

As a solution to this problem, the dealer suggests contacting a Ford service center to replace the fuel tank and fuel control module if the owner does not want to completely change the car and a fuel leak was noticed from the tank or fuel filler neck.

What's a breakdown in a Ford commercial truck? There is already a more serious breakdown. Such a breakdown was recorded and found in 13 Ford F-650 trucks of the 2016 model range. This applies to trucks that have a parking function on the transmission switch near the steering wheel.

According to the manufacturer, the mechanism may not work or malfunction when the Ford F-650 is fully loaded and the switch is in the parking position. Due to such a breakdown, the truck will not stand still. Ford Motors is asking owners to contact their dealership whose truck was produced at Ohio Assembly between July 29, 2015 and September 3, 2015 as soon as possible. The service center will replace the switch and mechanism on the steering wheel, and a malfunction in the control panel and transmission.
